Victoria Tongarewa Scholarships for International Students is offering Scholarship to celebrate the university’s commitment to its international student community. Eligible applicants will be in the first year of a bachelor’s degree at Victoria University of Wellington or enrolled in a postgraduate degree program.
Victoria Tongarewa Scholarships for International Students
Scholarships are awarded competitively on the basis of academic excellence. They apply for study the following year of application and will be submitted to the tuition fee. Shortlisted candidates may be requested to provide additional information to support their application. Scholarship recipients are guaranteed a place offer in one of our residential halls, but their accommodation services accept residential applications by their deadline.

Scholarships Number:
10 scholarships of NZ$10,000 for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and up to 9 scholarships of NZ$5,000 for master’s degrees only.
Scholarship value:
This is a partial fee-based scholarship that will be paid for 1 year of study for your tuition fee. The scholarships range from NZ$5,000 to NZ$10,000.
An offer of a place in the Hall of Residence has been confirmed for the recipients of the scholarship, but any accommodation application is accepted by the Housing Service within the required time frame.
Application Procedure:
Before the deadline, you must submit a complete online application . Scholarship application deadline are 1 June 2021 for (Trimester 2, 2021), 1 September 2021 (Trimester 3, 2021) and 30 November 2021 for (Trimester 1, 2022). Applications will normally open 1 month prior to the closing date.
Applicant Eligibility:
Applicants must start with international students who are paying full international fees and are entering the first year of their undergraduate degree or entering a postgraduate degree.
