Global Youth Scholars Program (GYSP)

WAAW (Working to Advance Science and Technology Education for African Women) Foundation is a global non-benefit association established in 2007. Settled in Lagos Nigeria with workplaces in Abuja Nigeria, Kigali Rwanda and Allen Texas. Global Youth Scholars Program (GYSP) provides an authentic African experience and an academic enrichment program for outstanding high school and early college students from around the world including Africa.

Global Youth Scholars Program (GYSP):

Each summer, students (boys and girls) of 16 – 21 years arrive in Nigeria or Kenya and to participate within the two-week Social Entrepreneurship, Leadership and STEM programs at the WAAW Foundation’s campuses in Abuja Nigeria and Nairobi Kenya; and Nairobi Kenya. It’s an invigorating, mind-blowing program that provides students to explore the Africa culture while developing innovative, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills.

Camp Locations:

Abuja, Nigeria, and Nairobi, Kenya

Scholars Program Duration:

2 weeks per group

Dates: 

Group 1 ( 3 – 17 July 2021, Abuja Nigeria)

Group 2 (25 July – 7th August 2021, Nairobi Kenya)

Rules of Payment:

Timely risers: USD $2,500 – February 26th, 2021

Late installment: USD $2,700 – April second, 2021

Educational cost:

The WAAW Foundation GYSP Tuition covers all costs other than movement protection, airfare, going through cash, and visa charges (if pertinent). This incorporates 3 meals and 3 snacks each day , just as extra charges to every single notable site and attractions.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Should be at least16 – 21 years old by the scheduled beginning date.
  • Applicant should be fluent in English language (Writing, speaking, and hearing).
  • Also should be currently enrolled in or recent graduate from high school (not an undergraduate student)
  • All countries from all over the world including all African countries are eligible to apply.
  • Available to travel by July 2021

Note: The above qualification standards are in consistence with lawful limitations for running a late spring program for minors, and no special cases can be made.
